Coming into Saturday’s contest, both Hong Kong and Malaysia had sealed their respective berths in Sunday’s final by winning their first two games. Yet, Hong Kong’s win could arguably give them a psychological edge in Sunday’s encounter.

The two sides will now face off for the HK T20I Series Trophy at 1.40pm on Sunday at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground.

But head coach Simon Willis had mixed emotions after his side’s victory in Saturday’s dress rehearsal.

“We’ve got some great power hitters as we saw at the end of the game, but we need to make sure we keep the scoreboard ticking to ease the pressure,” Willis told the Post.
