Winter Paralympics: China add four more golds to record haul as host nation lead medal standings on day two

China’s Winter Paralympic athletes are thriving on home snow, taking their gold medal tally to six on day two of the Beijing Games on Sunday.
Liang Jingyi took gold in the men’s Super-G standing event and Yang Hongqiong earned top honours in the women’s Para cross country skiing long distance sitting race.
Zhang clocked a winning time of one minute and 13.54 seconds at the women’s super-G standing race to take gold ahead of French competitor Marie Bochet of France, and Canadian racer Alana Ramsay, who took home bronze. On Saturday, Zhang shocked two former Paralympic champions to win silver in the women’s Para alpine skiing.
Zheng, along with Mao Zhongwu, finished one-two in men’s long-distance sitting, reinforcing the host nation’s leadership in the medal tally with their six golds giving them a total of 16 medals.
