In recent years, Hong Kong athletes have achieved unprecedented success on the international stage.
At the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, they secured a historic six-medal haul, including one gold, two silver and three bronze. 
The 2024 Paris Olympics saw them reach new heights with a record two gold and two bronze medals – the city’s highest Olympic gold medal tally to date. 
Among the medalists were Cheung Ka-long, who won his second consecutive Olympic medal in fencing, and Vivian Kong Man-wai, who clinched bronze in the women’s épée, further solidifying Hong Kong’s presence in international sports.
This success stems not only from the dedication and talent of Hong Kong’s athletes but also from strong government support and investments in sports infrastructure. 
A prime example is the Kai Tak Sports Park (KTSP), set to open early this year, which will be the largest sports infrastructure project in the city’s history.To contribute to Hong Kong’s emerging position as a hub for sports and mega-events while providing local athletes with a world-class stage, Chow Tai Fook Life Insurance Company Limited (CTF Life) has become the exclusive Founding Insurance Partner of KTSP. 
With 40 years of expertise, CTF Life is a wholly owned subsidiary of CTF Services Limited and a member of Chow Tai Fook Enterprises Limited.
This partnership not only reflects CTF Life’s mission to create value beyond insurance but also supports the city’s ambition to solidify its status as the “Events Capital of Asia”.
As an extension of the KTSP partnership, CTF Life has also announced its title sponsorship of the “Fencing Plus” Training Programme, organised by Kai Tak Sports Initiative (KTSI).
The programme aims to discover and nurture a new generation of elite fencing athletes in Hong Kong and help them progress to world-class levels that potentially qualify them to represent the city in international competitions. 
Antonio Lam, team manager of the Hong Kong Fencing Team, Asian Games double bronze medalist and Olympic Games representative, will serve as the head coach.
Under his leadership, the professional coaching team will provide tailored instructions, analyse student potential and deliver a comprehensive training framework to inspire sportsmanship and excellence. 
The programme, spanning nearly two years, includes progressive training and competition opportunities. A trial competition in the first quarter of 2025 aims to recruit 600 promising young fencers aged 6 to 10. 
Parents who are interested can register for their children by joining the CTF Life • CIRCLE membership programme. Selected participants will benefit from structured training and the chance to compete in the “Fencing Plus” Cup. Outstanding performers will receive elite training lasting over a year and a half, with the opportunity to join the Hong Kong Under-17 Cadet Pre team and compete in the “Asian Youth Elite Fencing League”.

In partnership with KTSI, this programme will fully sponsor students from underprivileged families, ensuring fair access to training and competition opportunities. This initiative aligns with CTF Life’s mission to make a positive community impact, fostering inclusivity and fair play.

The success of this partnership will be measured by metrics such as brand awareness, customer satisfaction, and business growth, according to Ip.
