Dance the night away in trendy Jingliu Road
The party never stops in Zhengzhou, which is choc-a-bloc with bars, nightclubs and live music venues catering to adventurers of all stripes.
The main bar street is Jingliu Road, home to dozens of large clubs and intimate bars. While trendy clubs come and go, the street is anchored by Target Pub, which is owned by Lao Wang and is quite popular with expats.
To indulge in some quality brews, nip next door to Beer Factory, which boasts a vast selection of imported and local beers. The laidback chain Helen's has a branch in the area.
Bars and clubs are constantly opening in Jinshui District, which is home to Nongke Road and Jingliu Road, two hotbeds for au courant clubs.
One of the trendiest places is Muse and, if you go, be careful when staff literally light the bar counter on fire. Muscle Girl is quite popular right now and is aptly named for the gigantic Russian men and women who gyrate on stage.
For a hot dance floor and pulsating music, go to Wenhua Road for Club Queen, which can be packed on weekends. The Yes Club features a mix of live and recorded Chinese pop music and can be found at the intersection of Nongye Road and Zhengqi Road in Jinshui.
