Tensho Electric Industries brings high-performance plastics to Asia
Manufacturer is a leader in the plastics industry, serving a range of sectors
From consumer electronics to office automation, to industrial materials and car parts, Tensho Electric Industries reinforces its lead in the plastics industry with a total commitment to quality, cost and delivery.
Founded 80 years ago, Tensho has been listed in the Tokyo Stock Exchange since 1961. “Our innovative plastic injection moulding technologies are one of the cornerstones for our continued success,” says president Tadahiko Ishikawa.
Under its electronics segment, Tensho manufactures assembly parts for the television industry. The company is also active in office automation and creates plastic housings for electronic components and equipment.
Comprising 60 per cent of its business is its automotive segment, where the company produces interior and exterior plastic parts for lighter and more fuel-efficient vehicles. Tensho is a tier-1 supplier to Toyota, Honda and Fuji Heavy Industries.
For its original products, Tensho’s Mippail plastic containers – designed for hazardous medical waste – prevent leakages and do not produce harmful substances when incinerated. The company plans to bring its Mippail products to Southeast Asia to address the stringent demands of medical institutions.
