Let’s do better in 2025. Let’s be kinder, classier and more caring towards our neighbours, and those who are less fortunate than most of us.
Be more courteous – open doors for the seniors standing behind us at the mall entrance and say with a smile, “After you.” Say hello to the street sweepers who toil every morning while we walk by.
Be more aware of geopolitical issues – of what is going on in Gaza, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria, Ukraine and other places you read about in the mainstream media or see on social media. Instead of buying new clothes for our children for the new year, could we consider sending relief money to conflict zones through credible agencies?
Use less plastic, or if necessary, use the returnable type to cut down on environmental waste. If bins are provided, are we separating garbage as conscientiously as we should?

Further, are we in agreement that to be better, this beautiful city of ours must have a better education culture?
