A company in the US that specialises in anonymously “scolding” bosses on behalf of employees who fear repercussions for voicing their grievances has captivated the online community, especially resonating with netizens in China who perceive an urgent need for such a service.

OCDA, founded this year by an individual identified online as Calimar White, who is also a stand-up comedian and actor with nearly 280,000 followers on Instagram.

The service gained significant traction after an influencer known as “The Feedski”, who boasts about 800,000 followers, shared a video on November 7 spotlighting the service on TikTok, which received more than 9.4 million views.

According to its official website, the company operates as a non-profit organisation dedicated to “rectifying complaints and creating a better work environment”.

Its mission is to ensure that complaints are acknowledged while fostering a culture of respect and responsiveness in the workplace.

Upon receiving a request, a designated “scolder” visits the client’s workplace, confronts the specified boss or colleague, and delivers a stern critique while passionately articulating the customer’s complaints.
