Taiwan private club serving ‘body sushi’ where woman uses naked body as dish investigated by police
- Naked woman was painted in floral decorations, her private parts were covered in food
Local authorities have launched an investigation into a private club in Taiwan that stirred massive controversy after it hosted a dinner in which sashimi was served on top of a naked young woman described as a “sushi boat”.
The event, called a “nyotaimori dinner”, was hosted at a private club in Taichung, a coastal city in the centre of the island, and young women were used as serving platters for sushi and sashimi.
According to images that leaked online, a young woman had her body painted with floral decorations and laid fully naked on a table with food covering her private parts. The guests dined directly off her body.
The extravagant feast was not only contentious but also extremely expensive, costing NT$100,000 (US$3,100) per person.
The meal itself cost NT$60,000, and the club charged an additional NT$40,000 for the model fee.
More than 20 guests attended the event, and one anonymous attendee told local media that, while they observed various high-quality sashimi on the woman’s body, they had little memory of what they actually ate.
