Hong Kong minibus driver arrested after pedestrian killed outside shopping centre

Hong Kong police have arrested a 66-year-old minibus driver after his vehicle hit and killed a pedestrian outside a shopping centre.
The woman suffered multiple injuries and was taken unconscious to United Christian Hospital in Kwun Tong, where she was pronounced dead just before 1pm.
A police spokesman said the minibus driver, who passed a breathalyser test, was detained on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death.
Police appealed to witnesses or anyone with information to contact officers on 3661 0264.
Separately, a police constable was injured in the abdomen when a Fire Services Department van hit his motorcycle on Lai Chi Kok Road in Mong Kok at around 9.29am.
