Hong Kong man critically ill after woman lands on him in suspected suicide

A logistics worker is fighting for his life in Hong Kong after a woman who jumped off a building in a suspected suicide landed on him.

The incident in Cheung Sha Wan occurred around 2.30pm on Monday near the Kimberland Centre on Wing Hong Street.

The woman, 35, fell from the 33rd floor of the building onto the man, 30, before she hit the ground. A pedestrian called an ambulance but arriving paramedics confirmed her dead at the scene.

The man, who was delivering an item with a trolley at the time, lost consciousness briefly and sustained head and limb injuries. His colleague was helping investigators at the scene.

He was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital in Kwai Chung and later listed as being in a critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Police are investigating the incident.
