Hong Kong’s first pyrotechnic drone show to light up sky on December 28
The 10-minute show at West Kowloon Cultural District will feature 3D panda and characters from ‘Panda Friends and Family Hong Kong’
Hong Kong will host its first pyrotechnic drone show on December 28, with the event set to feature patterns of giant pandas as the city taps into the bear-driven economy.
AllRightsReserved, the organiser of the panda-themed exhibition, said on Wednesday that the show would feature 1,000 drones that would create different panda images and showcase designs with Hong Kong characteristics.
The event will also differ from past displays as some of the drones will be mounted with pyrotechnics to light up the night sky.
A 3D panda and the “Panda Friends and Family Hong Kong” characters created by AllRightsReserved and based on the city’s six pandas will make an appearance at the show.
The display is expected to have seven scenes, including three with pyrotechnic effects.
The pyrotechnics will show waterfall effects in two scenes and flashing effects in another. Each segment will last about 20 to 50 seconds.
