The drill will take place at the 5,000-seat Youth Sports Ground, one of the venues within the park, from 3.30pm to 8.45pm, according to Sau Mau Ping police district commander Kit Tse Tsui-wan.

“The primary objective of the test is to assess the capacity of the sports ground and its surrounding facilities,” she said.

Tse said the drill would include ticket checks and crowd control, as well as managing entry and exit flows.

The exercise will cover one simulation in which attendees enter the venue, and two in which they exit.
