Ticket prices for Hong Kong’s Coldplay concerts to range from HK$399 to HK$2,099
General sales begin on October 10, but early booking available for those willing to pay for premium experiences reaching HK$6,599 per person
Local promoter Live Nation announced the details for the three April shows on Thursday, with the cheapest tickets costing HK$399 for seats at the back of the soon-to-open Kai Tak stadium. Tickets for other seated areas will cost HK$699, HK$999, HK$1,299, HK$1,699 and HK$2,099.
Fans hoping for tickets for the standing area near the front of the stage can expect to pay HK$1,399. General ticket sales will begin on October 10, but some early booking options are also available.
Ticket prices are similar to those in Singapore earlier this year, where Coldplay performed six shows in January. Tickets were split into nine categories and ranged from S$68 (HK$407) to S$298.
In its coming Asia tour, the band will perform in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, and Indian city Mumbai in January before playing in Hong Kong and then Seoul, South Korea.
Tickets for the Mumbai stop went on sale on September 22 for between 2,500 and 35,000 rupees (US$30 to US$417) and were sold out within minutes as 13 million people reportedly visited and crashed the official ticketing website.
