Hong Kong woman may have been gathering laundry at window when she fell to her death
Woman, 67, found lying on platform at Heng On Estate in Ma On Shan and declared dead at hospital
A 67-year-old woman was suspected to have fallen from her flat to her death while collecting laundry hanging near a window in Hong Kong on Wednesday.
Police received a report from security personnel at Heng Shan House at Heng On Estate in Ma On Shan at 2.17pm that a woman was found lying on a platform of the building.
The woman was unconscious when officers and paramedics arrived and was sent to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin where she was pronounced dead.
An initial investigation suggested the woman fell while doing household chores, according to the force, adding no suicide note was found at the scene.
The cause of death will be determined by a postmortem examination.
A source said some clothes were found near the window, along with a small footstool on the floor.
