The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced on Tuesday that they would no longer accept applications from groups to put up acts at two self-entertainment zones in Tuen Mun Park which were formerly designated public areas for performers.
“The Tuen Mun district council has agreed to shut down the zones on Tuesday,” the department said in a statement, adding that it respected the council’s decision and would “proactively follow up”.
It said 139 approved applications for performances over the next two months would not be affected.
