Three Hong Kong passengers had flown from Frankfurt in Germany and were detained in two separate drug trafficking cases
Customs officers at Hong Kong airport have arrested three passengers who arrived from Frankfurt in Germany, seizing 30kg of suspected ketamine with a street value of about HK$14 million in two separate drug trafficking cases.
The first case involved a local man, 25, and a local woman, 24. During customs clearance on Saturday, officers discovered 15kg of suspected ketamine concealed in 15 plastic bags in the man’s luggage.
The suspect was subsequently arrested. After a follow-up investigation, the female passenger was suspected to be connected with the case and also arrested at the airport.
The pair were jointly charged with one count of trafficking in a dangerous drug and were expected to appear at West Kowloon Court on Monday.
