Man who called Hong Kong police about being chased falls to death from 22-storey building

A man who rang Hong Kong’s police emergency hotline for help on Thursday saying he was being chased in a commercial building in Mong Kok fell to his death from its 22nd floor rooftop.

A police spokesman said the force was investigating whether foul play was involved.

Police received a call at 10.43am on Thursday from a man who said he was being pursued. It remains unclear who had been chasing him.

The man later ran to the rooftop of the building and fell, according to police.

He was certified dead at the scene.

The spokesman confirmed to the Post that the building was the 22-storey Hanway Commercial Centre on Dundas Street in Mong Kok.
