Jenny Li Sui-heung, 63, was denied bail at the High Court on Tuesday on a charge of perverting the course of justice. She had earlier applied for temporary release twice at Kowloon City Court without success.

Madam Justice Susana D’Almada Remedios said she saw no reason to release the accused while investigations were still under way.

“I cannot see at this moment … how I can allow her bail,” Remedios told defence counsel Priscilia Lam Tsz-ying.

The judge’s reasons for her decision are covered by reporting restrictions in bail proceedings.

Li is one of four people alleged to be linked to the killing of Choi, 28. Some of the influencer’s remains were found in a Tai Po village house in late February.

Choi’s ex-husband Alex Kwong Kong-chi, 28, his father, Kwong Kau, 65, and elder brother Anthony Kwong Kong-kit, 31, are behind bars on a joint murder charge. None of them have applied for bail.
