8,000 cruise passengers invited to Hong Kong Wine and Dine Festival in tourism tie-in
Invitation to visitors from over 30 jurisdictions marks biggest collaboration between Tourism Board and cruise sector
Sources said the passengers would arrive in Hong Kong on Thursday on three cruise liners. Many will visit the festival and also take a tour on the city’s famous Star Ferry vessels. The three cruise liners are Silver Nova, Coral Princess and Costa Serena.
Silver Nova will call in Hong Kong for the first time and dock at Ocean Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui. The other two will dock at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal.
“There is a new and special source of visitors to the Wine and Dine Festival, which will bring in a greater variety of participants,” one source said.
The cruise passengers hail from 30 jurisdictions and the Tourism Board’s invitation for them to attend the festival marked the biggest collaboration between the body and the cruise sector.
