About 50 people queued up on Friday morning to be among the first to try their luck at the night's Mark Six HK$100 million windfall.
A mix of young and old, men and women, waited outside the Stanley Street Jockey Club branch. When it opened, they were immediately joined by dozens more.
At the head of the line was retiree Cheng Koon-fu, 65, who got there 20 minutes before the outlet opened at 11am. However, he planned to bet only HK$70.
