Male worker reportedly loses footing on sixth floor of T2 Concourse and falls to fourth floor
A 37-year-old worker has fallen to his death at a terminal under construction at Hong Kong International Airport.
The fatal industrial accident occurred on Thursday when the male worker reportedly lost his footing on the sixth floor of the T2 Concourse and fell to the fourth floor.
Co-workers who witnessed the incident immediately called for help. Paramedics rushed to the scene and transported the victim to North Lantau Hospital, where he was pronounced dead soon after.
The cause of the accident was under investigation.
The Airport Authority said it received a report at around 8.15pm that a labourer had fallen from a height at the T2 Concourse.
The authority said it was deeply saddened by the worker’s death and would provide support to his family.
