With temperatures across the region dropping, it looks and feels like the hot, humid weather is behind us and we're officially into autumn - good news for the protesters camped out on the streets of Admiralty, Causeway Bay and Mong Kok.

Influenced by a dry northeast monsoon, Hongkongers can expect cooler and drier weather, with the lowest temperature hovering between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius and humidity levels ranging from 50 to 70 per cent.

The minimum temperatures recorded across the city yesterday were generally 1 to 2 degrees lower than the day before.

At the Observatory's headquarters in Tsim Sha Tsui, the lowest temperature of 23.8 degrees was recorded at about 8am, which was 1.2 degrees below the minimum on Sunday.

But the humidity level there increased slightly compared to Sunday, when the relative reading dropped below 40 per cent.
