Chinese woman, 67, accused of acting as drugs mule, travelling over 30 times across China with narcotics strapped on her

Police in northeast China have arrested 28 suspected members of a dug trafficking gang, including a 67-year-old woman, according to a news website report.

She has been accused of acting as a drugs mule, strapping narcotics to her body and travelling by train from Yunnan province in the southwest to Jilin province, Chinajilin.com.cn reported.

The suspects also include a father and son, according to the article.

Police in Changchun, Jilin, began to investigate the drugs gang earlier this year, the report said.

Four of the major suspects were captured in Yunnan and arrived in Jilin on Saturday.

Changchun police have seized five kg of methamphetamine and over 20,000 capsules of Magu, the Thai word for a stimulant made by combining methamphetamine and caffeine, the article said.
