Breaking | Man sets fire to rush-hour bus ‘after being sacked for stealing’

A Chinese man allegedly set fire to a bus during this morning’s rush hour – moments after reportedly starting a blaze at the company that fired him the day before.

A Chinese man allegedly set fire to a bus during this morning’s rush hour – moments after reportedly starting a blaze at the company that had fired him the day before.

Police said 10 passengers were hurt after the fire broke out in the middle section of the Number 656 bus in Xiamen, Fujian province, at about 8am.

Two passers-by also suffered knife wounds after the suspect allegedly slashed at them with a knife as he left the bus.

One of the injured bus passengers reportedly suffered burns.

All of the injured were taken to a local hospital.
