3-year-old girl survived Thailand nursery school massacre while sleeping

As a gunman murdered 24 children at a nursery school in Thailand, one three-year-old girl slept through the entire massacre.
The child was found awake and alive on Thursday as authorities surveyed the horror in the building in Uthai Sawan.
Paweenuch Supolwong, nicknamed Ammy, seems to have no memory of the tragedy, her parents said. Someone found her stirring in a corner, after the killer had left, and carried her out with her head covered by the blanket so she did not see the bodies of her classmates.
“She had no idea what was happening when she woke up,” said her grandfather Somsak Srithong.
Ammy’s parents heard that all the children at the day care were killed in the massacre, which left 36 people dead, including 24 children. Her mother, working 260 miles south in Bangkok, needed to see her on video before she believed she was still alive.
