DJ party reaches fever pitch
It is time to party to your heart’s content with legendary Dutch dance music DJ and producer Tiësto. The popular music icon is coming to Club Cubic on October 2 with an essential experience for electronic music fans. He has ranked in the top five of DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs list for more than a decade, and received a Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording of John Legend's 'All Of Me" in 2014.

Events galore at the Cotai Arena
Korean pop sensation Big Bang hits Macau for three nights, entertaining 28,000 fans at the Cotai Arena from October 23 to 25. Tickets for the group,  that is helping to bring K-pop to the world, will be scarce, so keep your eyes peeled. If Canto-pop is more of your thing, look out for Kay Tse performing all her big hits at the Missing Kay 2015 World Tour Macao on Saturday October 10. For Muay Thai enthusiasts, Xtreme Muay Thai 2015 is delivering a “Fight Hard x Party Hard” event on October 3 with big fights and superstar music to go along with it. International music extravaganza
Classical and jazz take centre stage at the 29th Macau International Music Festival that runs from October 4 to November 1, with musicians from across the world delivering 23 performances. Highlights include the China NCPA Orchestra and Choir, the Macao Youth Choir and the Swedish mezzo-soprano Charlotte Hellekant opening the festival with Gustav Mahler - Symphony No 3. The performance features an orchestra of more than 100 musicians and choir of close to 100 women and children.
Elsewhere, all-male American choir Chanticleer performs Over the Moon and Washing of the Water. For jazz fans, the Great Ladies of Song brings together jazz artists Patti Austin, Janis Siegel and Elisa Chan for a special tribute to jazz legend Billie Holiday. Meanwhile, the BBC Philharmonic will perform in two concerts, Shubert’s Symphony No 9 “The Great”, and Enigma Variations by Edward Elgar. Find your tickets at www.macauticket.com.

Tension of Talent presents art highlights
Running throughout October at the Museum of Art is The Tension of Talent – Calligraphy, Painting and Seal Exhibition by Wu Rangzhi and Zhao Zhiqian. The exhibition highlights Chinese calligraphy, paintings and seals from the two late-Qing dynasty era masters. Their endeavours in seal carving have had a lasting influence on Chinese art.

Beers galore for Oktoberfest at the MGM
It’s going to be shower of beer and entertainment at Oktoberfest at the MGM Macau. From October 15 to 25, the MGM is emulating the famed atmosphere of Munich’s Oktoberfest with long benches under a big tent, music, German beer including famed “Spaten” from Munich, game booths and a festive fair including bratwurst sausages, roasted free range chicken, and pork knuckles.

Golfing action swings into town
The Venetian Macao Open is delivering golfing action to Macau from October 15 to 18, with four-time Major champion Ernie Els, six-time Asian Tour winner Scott Hend and Asian star Anirban Lahiri returning to the Macau Golf & Country Club to compete for the US$1 million first prize.

Studio City makes its grand debut
On October 27, the US$3.2 billion Studio City will officially open, introducing the latest arrival on the Macau entertainment landscape. To mark the opening of this 1,600-room hotel, a package is available from HK$1,988 provides a night’s stay in a Premier King Room at Studio City Hotel’s Star Tower and includes two Golden Reel tickets, access to the indoor and outdoor pools and RiverScape water-ride. For those who don’t want to stay the night, The Studio City “Experience It All” Entertainment Pass costs HK$550 a person and includes a ride on the Golden Reel, a pass to the 4D flight simulation Batman Dark Flight and access to The House of Magic.
