Baselworld 2018: Bulgari’s Octo collection gets titanium update
First two timepieces launched in 2002, which now come in durable silver-grey metal, among innovative watches at Swiss trade fair from March 22 to 27
Bulgari, the Italian jewellery and luxury goods brand, has given its Octo collection of timepieces an update.
This year, two Octo L’Originale timepieces come newly armoured in titanium.
The material, first used in the aerospace industry, is favoured by manufacturers in many other fields because of its thermal, mechanical, hypoallergenic and corrosion-resistance properties.
It is also incredibly light, making it undeniably easy to wear. Titanium is used for the case, dial and crown protecting the heart of the watch inside.
Two versions are offered: a three-hand Octo L’Originale and an Octo L’Originale Chronograph.
These two timepieces were also the first to be created for the collection when it was launched in 2012, hence the name, “L’Originale”.
They are among the many innovative timepieces of leading luxury watch brands featured at the Baselworld 2018 trade fair in Basel, Switzerland, from March 22 to 27.
