The new Villeret Quantième Complet GMT houses an update to the maison’s complete calendar GMT complication that made its debut in 2002.

As an additional touch, the brand has also used its patented under lug correctors to enhance its usage for the wearer.

The timepiece is one of many luxury watches on show at Baselworld 2018, the leading watch fair featuring the latest industry trends, in Basel, Switzerland from March 22 to 27.

Complete calendars have been a signature complication for Blancpain since 2002, which has always presented it with a clean, polished aesthetic.

The new timepiece features a complete calendar paired with a GMT function, as well as a moon phase at 6 o’clock. Two date windows can be found at 12 o’clock.

The home time is read using the red-tipped hand, while the date is read using the curved blue hand.

This year, the in-house movement utilises a silicium balance spring, which brings with it enhanced antimagnetic properties, as well as higher precision in timekeeping.
