The luxury watchmaker’s reversible timepiece, which can also become be a pocket watch or table clock, is on show at this week’s annual Geneva watch fair

Bovet is set to attract crowds at this week’s SIHH – the annual Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie watch fair – in Geneva.

The Swiss luxury watchmaker unveiled the Tourbillon Amadeo Fleurier Virtuoso IX, which houses the new calibre 17BM04-DFR with a 10-day power reserve.

The 46.30-millimetre timepiece is housed in a convertible case, meaning the reversible wristwatch can be turned into either a pocket watch or even a table clock, depending on the whims of the owner – all without the use of any special tools.

On the dial, the hour hand can be found offset at 2 o’clock, while the minute hand remains traditionally centred. A second time zone can be read via a second hour display at 10 o’clock, which also displays the name of the city to which it corresponds, making this an ideal choice for globetrotters. The time zone can be set using two lateral correctors, which also takes into account daylight saving times.

A date window is located at 4 o’clock, while a power reserve indicator is at 8 o’clock. A patented double face flying tourbillon sits at 6 o’clock.

Flip the watch to the caseback and you’ll discover a transparent caseback with the hour and minute hands telling the time, which means the timepiece is reversible.
