Inside Singapore billionaire heiress Kim Lim’s luxury life: from private jet travel and Rolls-Royces, to Hermès Birkins and lighting up Bangkok’s skies with fireworks on her birthday
- The daughter of Singaporean tycoon Peter Lim owns some of the world’s most coveted Hermès bags, including the Himalayan Birkin – one of which once sold for US$450,000
- Kim Lim doesn’t keep her luxury bling locked up, but instead wears them out, like her diamond and emerald-studded Patek Philippe Aquanaut watch and Graff jewellery
Singaporean socialite Kim Lim has carved out a career path of her own, leveraging her fame to build a successful beauty empire. Despite her privileged upbringing as the daughter of Singaporean tycoon and billionaire Peter Lim, the influencer recently revealed she had a troubled childhood laced with abuse and violence.
Lim sat down for an interview with friend and YouTuber Xiaxue to discuss the trauma she experienced growing up – and how she overcame the negativity to come out better and stronger.
Despite bravely sharing her childhood experiences, there’s no denying that Lim lives a life of privilege afforded by her family’s wealth that most can only dream of, from her collection of luxury handbags to travelling the world on a private jet.
With more than half a million Instagram followers, Lim often shares photos of her jet-setting lifestyle. Her work in the beauty industry takes her to different parts of Asia like Bangkok and Seoul. She founded hair-loss treatment centre Papilla Haircare in 2019, followed by Illumia Therapeutics spa, Illumia Medical clinic and Illumiaskin by Kim Lim skincare – all folded under her company KLHealth.
In a recent post documenting a trip abroad, Lim is seen posing in front of a private jet. No wonder a private plane appears to be her preferred mode of transport when travelling, as she can relax in the comfort of her own space even when she’s 10,000 metres high in the air.
