Camilla, now 76, has been in the public eye for years, having met husband-to-be Charles for the first time in 1970. She too comes from a wealthy background.
As queen consort, Camilla continues to play an important role as a working royal. She is the 75-year-old monarch’s second wife, after the late and much-loved Princess Diana.
