6 of Taylor Swift’s favourite New York restaurants: the Eras Tour singer and her besties Sophie Turner, Selena Gomez and Blake Lively are regulars at these Italian, French and Japanese eateries
- The must-visit Fouquet’s in the Tribeca area reportedly serves the best French onion soup in the city, and has hosted celebs like Chris Rock
- When the singer dined at Il Buco with pals Laura Dern and Zoë Kravitz, she got her security to discreetly pay the bill without the others noticing it
In “Welcome to New York”, Taylor Swift sings about her love for the Big Apple. It’s a sentiment she has shared several times: she told David Letterman that when she made the city her base in 2014, she was so inspired by it that she would tell her friends to drop everything and “get to New York”.
Read on for just six of her faves …
1. Minetta Tavern
Head to this French-American hotspot if you’re a meat lover. Swift was spotted with fellow musician Phoebe Bridgers at the popular restaurant in November. The eatery is owned by Keith McNally and when it was reopened in 2009, it became an instant hit with locals and tourists alike.
Swift ate scallops, baked oysters and foie gras. McNally spoke about the visit in an Instagram post, saying Swift enjoyed her meal and “would be back”.
2. La Lanterna di Vittorio
Swift and her friend Todrick Hall hung out at this lantern-lit indoor garden venue on MacDougal Street a while back. The duo ordered two pizzas, two double French martinis, tiramisu and gelato, the owner told People magazine. The pair then headed to jazz club Bar Next Door. The dreamy venue is particularly popular for date nights because of its romantic setting.
