Since the passing of Egyptian billionaire businessman Mohamed Al-Fayed last Wednesday at the age of 94, the media has been filled with speculations about the fate of his US$2.1 billion fortune.
As he is survived by four adult children, his inheritance distribution has become a hot topic of discussion, with the family dynamics resembling a plotline of HBO’s Succession TV show.

The late tycoon was also known as the father to his eldest son, Dodi Fayed, who tragically died in a car crash in Paris with Princess Diana in 1997.
