Jung Yong-hwa, the lead vocalist of K-pop boy band CNBLUE, is known for his good looks and his influence on Korean celebrity culture in singing, songwriting and on-screen acting.
Born in Busan on June 22, 1989, Jung, unlike most celebrities, has been successful academically with undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. He has carved out a career in K-pop as well as in acting, performing in various drama series since 2009.
Jung has released several albums with CNBLUE, and released his EP “DO DISTURB” in 2017. He is doing his military service in the army and will be discharged in November.

Since taking the reins as CNBLUE’s lead vocalist in 2010, Jung has been involved in several solo endeavours where he has acted, sung, rapped, and riffed on different instruments.
He has led the popular boy band to more than 30 awards since their first single I’m a Loner from their first Korean EP “Bluetory” in January 2010.
With his amazing musical talent, Jung has remained in the spotlight throughout his career, even now while he is in the army.
