South Korean singer Psy, who rose to global stardom with his 2012 hit Gangnam Style single and music video, is set to release his ninth album.

His agency, P NATION, said he will officially issue his new album in July. It didn't give any further details of the forthcoming release.

It will be his first album since he founded P NATION after leaving his former agency, YG Entertainment.

The announcement came 26 months after his last album, “4x2=8”.

Earlier, the singer hinted that he was set to return to the spotlight through a post on Instagram.

 

“When I release my album, it will be my ninth,” he wrote.

“I would love to get your recommendations for the title of the new album.”
