New year? New look! So aside from offering excuses to eat, drink and be merry, there’s no better excuse to indulge in a festive makeover than the start of a new year. Thankfully luxury brands Fendi and Givenchy have embraced bold Lunar New Year colours and patterns to help you channel the fierce character of the tiger.
For those looking for less festive and a more subtle style, brands like Hermès and Celine have incorporated vibrant colours and patterns that will also diversify your closet a treat. And for total chic chill, Saint Laurent’s SS2022 men’s collection fits the bill.
Here are STYLE’s picks of latest trending selections for your fashion fix.
Fendi
Embodying the courageous and vigorous traits of the tiger, Fendi’s 2022 Spring Festival Capsule Collection adds vibrant twists to signature products. An orange tiger print motif hogs the spotlight, embroidered on a range of ready-to-wear pieces, including T-shirts, sweatshirts and knitted cardigans, as well as on the new Match trainers and the brand’s iconic bags.
Givenchy
Welcoming the Year of the Tiger, Givenchy integrates symbols reminiscent of the big cat in its new Lunar New Year capsule. Befitting a regal animal that represents courage and strength, the collection sports bold stripes, dynamic embroidery and eye-catching prints. Simple comfort pieces including jumpers, leggings and hoodies all embody the theme, with graphic black and white stripes and vivid embroidery.
The collection also includes statement pieces like a striped reversible jacket, shorts and T-shirts with different versions of the tiger print. Though bold in colour and pattern, the pieces integrate into Givenchy’s existing wardrobe, easily pairable with items outside the collection.
Accessories are also a must, with mini crossbody bags bearing the bold striped print, and classic G-lock necklaces engraved with a tiger stripe motif. New footwear styles – injection-moulded Monumental shoes and GIV 1 trainers – are also introduced.
