During the coronavirus pandemic, the relentless doom and gloom has been broken by a number of exciting baby announcements from some of the world’s biggest pop stars, models and actors. We’re barely halfway through the year and we’ve already had our fair share of exciting baby news from the likes of Gigi Hadid, Chris Pratt and Katy Perry.

Nicki Minaj and Kenneth Petty

Nicki Minaj dropped news of her first child with husband Kenneth Petty by uploading her baby bump picture to Instagram, with the caption “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes.”

Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger

The latest couple to join the baby news bandwagon are Jurassic World star Chris Pratt and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger. After the two married in an intimate wedding nearly a year earlier, they announced that they were expecting their first child together. Katherine was already spotted out and about in Los Angeles, walking her dog Maverick and sporting a growing bump, People reports. The news was also confirmed in a video call between Maria Shriver, her son Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Chris Pratt, in which Maria tells her son-in-law, “You’re going to have another beautiful [family] member.”
