Since leaving WWE, Rousey has played the role of the heel, or villain, and speculation is rife that all her trash talk about wrestling and its fans is designed to create even greater hype for a comeback

From Olympian to UFC star and WWE sensation, Ronda Rousey’s incredible athletic abilities have seen her become a global sensation. But since she swapped the ring for a quiet farm life with her husband, Travis Browne, and began dissing her WWE fans, Rousey’s fighting future has become more than a little clouded.

Or has it? Is she ready to pack it all in and spend time with her donkey, or is Rousey an expert at leading a double life? Here’s what you need to know about the two faces of ‘Rowdy’ Ronda.

Rousey has not been in the ring since WrestleMania in early 2019, when she said she was taking a break to start a family. After more than a year of silence, speculation about her future mounted as Rousey, who swapped arm bars for feeding chickens, told the Wild Ride! with Steve-O podcast that her future with WWE was non-existent.

“What am I doing it for if I’m not being able to spend my time and energy on my family, but instead spending my time and my energy on a bunch of ungrateful fans that don’t even appreciate me?”, she said.

Focusing on the farm

In the year that Rousey has not been in the ring, she has focused on building a sustainable farm, Browsey Acres, with her husband Travis Browne.
