6 hidden talents of the British royal family and other monarchs
Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and other royals have hidden talents, as did the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand – do you know about any of them?
Royalty isn’t just about traditions, rules and fashion. In fact, many royals have fascinating hidden talents that the public rarely sees. Here are just a few of the many examples of talented royals around the world.
Queen Elizabeth
Queen Elizabeth is tough as nails, and it’s not hard to see why. She is the only woman in the British royal family to have served in the armed forces. She became a competent truck driver and mechanic as the nation fought against the Axis powers during World War II. She later went on to become a gifted photographer and also an amazingly good mimic, with her accents being particularly spot on.
Prince Charles of Wales
Prince Charles is a talented painter who specialises in capturing outdoor scenes. Some of his paintings have sold for seven-figure prices. Even so, it’s not the prince’s only hobby. He also enjoys spending time out in nature, where he enjoys sports such as salmon fishing, as well as working with his favourite charitable projects, which raise more than £100 million (US$123 million) a year.
