K-drama heartthrobs Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae ooze charm on Hong Kong visit
Eloquent Korean actors reveal their favourite Hong Kong snacks in between discussing their careers and the challenges of their job
It’s no secret that Jung Woo-sung and Lee Jung-jae are hot commodities in South Korea and abroad. Household names in Korea and in K-drama and K-movie aficionados’ homes, the veteran actors are known for their talent on camera as well as for their charisma away from the cameras.
Before we meet the two men, who were flown to Hong Kong for Art Basel by luxury skincare brand La Prairie, I expect to be floored by the looks of those who consistently rank highly in surveys asking women in South Korea to rate their celebrity crushes.
I’m not floored, but I am charmed.
The two actors bring a certain je ne se quoi to the room – and not just because of their swarming entourage, all dressed in black.
Tall, soft-spoken, quick to flash their smiles – and passionate about their work – they make a charming pair.
(Check out our exclusive video interview with the dynamic duo here, where we discuss their careers, the challenges that go with being an actor – and get them to choose their favourite Hong Kong snacks.)
And eloquent. When we ask them about Art Basel and their interest in art, Jung replies: “In a way, artists use their personal experiences and emotions as a motif when creating their artwork.”
