Swiss luxury watchmaker Roger Dubuis unveiled its new pre-SIHH novelties with a lavish event in Shanghai. The brand transformed Shanghai’s hip boutique hotel, The Waterhouse, on the Bund into the scenic plaza in Geneva where its boutique is located. Especially impressive are the Excalibur Quatuor Cobalt MicroMelt, Excalibur Spider Skeleton Automatic and Excalibur 36. While Roger Dubuis dedicated its 2016 collection to female watches, the next year will be about its iconic Excalibur collection. The Quatuor Cobalt MicroMelt features a high-performance material called cobalt chrome alloy which is widely associated with aeronautics and astronomy. The Excalibur 36 is Roger Dubuis’ answer for female connoisseurs who wish to own a piece from the Excalibur collection. The 36mm-diameter dial is a versatile choice. Its titanium case is topped by a bezel set with 48 blue sapphires, and only 28 pieces are available.
