Style Edit: Jaeger-LeCoultre ambassador Kim Woo-bin highlights the elegance and sophistication of the maison’s new Reverso Tribute Chronograph and Polaris Chronograph
The South Korean actor embodies many of the qualities the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer is known for and has been seen wearing two of the maison’s newest sporty models
The Reverso made its debut in 1931 as one of the first timepieces made specifically for sport, and is distinguished by its trademark reversible case, originally designed to protect the watch face when worn during polo matches. The Reverso Tribute Chronograph takes its cues directly from a more recent iteration, the Reverso Chronograph from 1996, and displays the time on both sides of its rectangular case.
On the front, that takes the form of a classic, rectangular, grey blue sunray dial – but things get far funkier on the back.
In contrast to the relatively minimalist front dial, the back is an openworked riot of activity combining a second time display with a comprehensive view of the new Manufacture Calibre 860 and the chronograph with retrograde minutes that it powers.
