The Year of the Wood Snake 2025, like any Lunar New Year, brings a busy calendar of events so it’s no surprise that luxury brands chose this time to launch capsule collections of party-ready gowns. Meanwhile, many accessories get a festive makeover to appear in exclusive forms for the occasion, often coloured a rich red or featuring the year’s zodiac animal.

We love Chloé’s Generous hoodie in cotton fleece (HK$10,400) featuring a tonal logo and a drawstring given a luxe feel with a gold-toned snake head and tail. The striking seasonal detail was inspired by a chic black dress designed by Karl Lagerfeld way back in 1969. Style your hoodie with either smart tailoring or denim.

2. Birkenstock 1774 slides

Birkenstock 1774 has released a special collection to celebrate the Year of the Snake. The drop comprises fresh interpretations of the footwear brand’s buzziest styles: the Arizona, Florida and Tokio shoes. For instance, this pair in festive red (HK$3,075) features a leather-covered footbed and exquisite straps embossed with a python pattern.

3. Bulgari Serpenti collection

Bulgari’s startling Serpenti creations have been a brand signature for almost 80 years. The Rome-based house first introduced the snake shape in a series of jewellery watches in 1948 and since then it has become a true icon.

This two-coil 18k rose gold bracelet set with pavé diamonds on the head and tail, and black onyx eyes, and the matching ring that goes with it, are perfect examples of Bulgari’s ability to constantly revisit the Serpenti motif and make it relevant to modern-day lovers of luxury.
