Style Edit: Messika dazzles with high jewellery inspired by haute couture, drawing inspiration from muses like Kate Moss, Carla Bruni, Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner
At Paris Fashion Week, the maison showed how it is redefining and pushing the boundaries of high jewellery and haute couture with its daring visions
Known for its innovative designs, impeccable craftsmanship and expertise in sourcing rare and radiant diamonds, Messika has quickly become one of the most talked-about jewellery brands today.
“There’s a daring, couture style at Messika,” says Valérie Messika, the maison’s founder and artistic director. “We’re not afraid to create something bold, like a diamond belt with more than 15 carats. It’s about pushing the boundaries and considering high jewellery pieces as part of fashion – pieces that go far beyond the classic ways of wearing accessories.”
During Paris Fashion Week, Messika debuted its fourth high jewellery show on September 26, unveiling its new couture-inspired collection: Midnight Sun Opus II.
The collection is a second act in Messika’s Midnight Sun story. Handcrafted with the glamorous lifestyles of socialites and bon vivants in mind, it seeks to capture the moment when an indulgent all-night soirée fades into the light of the next day.
