Style Edit: Vacheron Constantin reopened its Landmark Prince’s boutique in Hong Kong with a grand ceremony, VVIP guest list, ‘Less’ential’ exhibition – and a performance by Cantopop star Terence Lam
- Vacheron Constantin reopened its Landmark Prince’s boutique on June 9, showcasing pieces from Watches and Wonders and models across the maison’s signature collections like Métiers d’Art
- The newly redesigned boutique features a custom strap station with both engraving and embossing bespoke options, along with a dedicated VIP lounge where guests can converse in a more private space
The marque has nearly 270 years of history and time-honoured expertise. The celebrations were another reminder of the brand’s commitment to not only its innovation and artistry, but also to Hong Kong as well as the remarkable number of cities around the world where it has anchored its boutiques. Each outpost has continued to offer exclusive services to its customers throughout its long and illustrious history.
To celebrate the boutique’s reopening, a specially curated heritage exhibition called “Less’ential” will be on display until July 5.
The exhibition open to the public includes historical timepieces from the Vacheron Constantin private heritage collection, which is based in Geneva and was flown in especially for the occasion.
Just a few of the timeless, priceless pieces on display include a 1940 yellow gold “Airflow” rectangular wristwatch with small seconds and a post-war yellow gold “Surprise” pocket watch. Later examples feature more daring and fanciful designs, such as the yellow gold Fancy Square wristwatch of 1970, the yellow gold “Prestige de France” asymmetrical timepiece with dual time display from 1978, through to the 1985 unique yellow and white gold two-toned rectangular cuff watch.
