6 stylish new homeware ranges by luxury fashion brands, from Dior’s Philippe Starck armchair and Louis Vuitton’s Cabinet of Curiosities trunk display case, to Fendi Casa’s textiles and accessories

  • Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano, or Salone del Mobile, saw the biggest names in luxury launching exciting new furniture and homeware in April
  • Versace’s crocodile-embossed leather Zensational modular sofa is a key item of the season, while Armani/Casa released its first outdoor series – plus some seriously funky cactus-inspired candles

The largest trade fair of its kind in the world, the Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano was held back in April, introducing the latest in furniture and homewares of all kinds. This year saw some of the biggest names in the luxury business bring a colourful panoply of ideas that embodied the sense of renewal and optimism.

1. Fendi Casa

Unveiled at its Piazza della Scala flagship boutique, the latest collection from Fendi’s homeware spin-off comprises new products and designer collaborations under the artistic direction of Silvia Venturini Fendi. The brand’s range of distinctly modern home accessories and textiles, including this plush Fendi Roma cushion, comes in shades that will complement any interior.

This Zensational modular sofa is one of this year’s key items and it’s easy to see why. It’s composed of crocodile-embossed leather and decorative panels that show off the fashion house’s signature prints and patterns. Like everything else in the collection, the piece was designed in partnership with Roberto Palomba and Ludovica Serafini from PS+A studio.

3. Dior

French creator Philippe Starck has teamed up, once again, to pay tribute to the maison’s founder with this bold yet delicate Monsieur Dior armchair. With a rounded backrest, padded seat and polished or lacquered aluminium armrests, it is covered in ecru bouclé or fluorescent orange toile de Jouy.
