Shine bright: the most exciting jewellery launches this autumn, from Chopard’s Happy Butterfly x Mariah Carey collab, to Graff’s Goddess of Light collection and Van Cleef & Arpels’ Trésor Astral
- Pop queen Mariah Carey is releasing two collections with Swiss jewellery house Chopard: a diamond-paved necklace, earring and ring set, and a butterfly motif version of Happy Diamonds
- Graff brought its Graffabulous exhibition to Hong Kong, transforming its flagship store’s VIP lounge into a champagne bar, while Van Cleef & Arpels looked to the stars to create the Trésor Astral
Luxury jewellery brands are going hand in hand with celebrities even more than usual this year. The songbird supreme Mariah Carey herself is releasing a jewellery collection with Chopard. Inspired by a motif often associated with the singer, Happy Butterfly x Mariah Carey will be displaying diamond-studded butterflies this season. But she’s not be the only A-lister among the world’s greatest jewellery brands’ new releases – Van Cleef & Arpels and Graff are both lighting up the sky with bejewelled stars, too …
Chopard x Mariah Carey
The Chopard x Mariah Carey Collection features a necklace, a pair of earrings and a ring, all entirely paved in diamonds; while the Happy Butterfly x Mariah Carey Collection transforms Chopard’s Happy Diamonds collection with butterflies, their wings paved with either diamonds or carnelian.
Carey approached the maison to create the collections because of its unmistakable aesthetic and its commitment to ethical values, in particular the use of certified Fairmined gold.
“I hope the wearers feel empowered and happy. Butterflies are a symbol of metamorphosis conveying renewed aspirations and a free-spirited approach to life so we hope to inspire women to live feeling free and empowered,” says Caroline Scheufele, co-president and artistic director of the maison.
