Father’s Day is an important time of year when it comes to celebrating your father and the vital role he plays in your life. So, with the big day rapidly approaching, the big beasts of the luxury world are busy bringing out exceptional models especially for the occasion. Case in point: watchmaker Omega’s two distinguished models for Father’s Day, both of which are new iterations of classic collections.
The Constellation watch, which is powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8901, comes in a 41mm, 18k yellow gold case, accompanied by a sun-brushed black dial and a black ceramic bezel.
The Seamaster 300 divers’ watch meanwhile is studded with visual references to the 1957 watch it’s based on, but with new features including a blue oxalic anodised-treated aluminium bezel and the new Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912 at its heart.
Highland Park’s new 50-year old single malt Scotch whisky
Orkney-based distillery Highland Park is unveiling a new 50-year-old single malt Scotch whisky created by Gordon Motion. Only 274 bottles have been crafted, each signed by the master brewer. The Scotch has been developed using the traditional solera method, most often associated with maturing sherry. The new edition’s nine refill casks were originally laid down in 1968, and finally re-racked in first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks to give layered and complex flavours. It is just the third 50-year-old whisky ever produced in the distillery’s 223-year history.
The limited edition single malt Scotch whisky is now available at select retailers in Hong Kong and is priced at HK$208,000 (US$26,800) per bottle.
