The reimagined 2021 Golden Globes Awards ceremony was staged between two American coasts, with many celebrities dialling in via video call at this pandemic-era celebration of the screen, which took place two months later than originally planned.

The misses
Bryce Dallas Howard’s sequin dress was one of the biggest fails at this year’s ceremony. Even though the actress chose the Temperley London design and a pair of past season Alexander McQueen pumps as an homage to sustainable fashion, the ensemble was torn apart by Twitter users, who described the look as everything from a tapestry to a potato sack.
Though we loved Julia Garner’s make-up and hair, many fans frowned upon the deep plunging design of her dress.
