The Karl Lagerfeld Macau
It’s said the late Karl Lagerfeld, the ponytailed designer behind Chanel and Fendi, never visited the site of The Karl Lagerfeld, a five-star hotel located at Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. Still the multitalented designer masterminded the whole project and had started working on the interior of the property before his death in February 2019.
His likeness is everywhere – his profile is inventively comprised of more than a thousand keys on the wall behind reception, and also adorns individual room key cards. The five-star resort features chinoiserie motifs throughout, while The Book Lounge houses 4,000 reads selected by the late designer’s bookshop Librairie 7L.
Raffles at Galaxy Macau
Part of the legendary Raffles brand – which includes historic properties such as the Raffles Singapore, and luxurious European hotels such as Le Royal Monceau in Paris and the recently opened Raffles London at The Owo – the Macau outpost features around 450 lavishly decorated suites.
